Motivators are thing which an individual to perform. Whilw motivations reflect wants, motivators are the identified rewards, or incentives, that sharpen the drive to satisfy these wants. They are also the means by which conflicting needs may be reconciled or one need heightened so that it will be given priority over one another. Motivation refer to the drive and effort to satisfy a want or goal. A motivator then , is something that influences an individuals behaviour. It makes a difference in what a person will do. Obviously, in any organized enterprise, manager must be concerned about motivators and also inventive in their use. People can often satisfy their wants a variety of ways.A person can, for example, satisfy a desire for affiliation by being active ina social club rather that in business, meet economic need by performing a job just well enough to get by, or satisfy status needs by spending time working for a political party. What a manager must do, of course, is use those motivators which will lead people to perform effectively for the enterprise that employs them no manager can expect to hire the whole person, since people always have desires and drives outside the enterprise. But if a company or any other kind of eneterprise is to be efficient and successful, enough of every person’s drives must be stimulated and satisfied to ensure effective performance.

Clean drinking water and basic sanitation are necessary to prevent communicable diseases and to maintain a healthy life.For many of the world’s poorest people, one of the greatest environmental threats to health remains the continued use of polluted water. In 2002 the United Nations estimated that at least 1.1 billion people lacked access to safe drinking water and 2.4 billion do not have adequate sanitation. These deficiencies result in hundreds of millions of cases of water related illness and more than5 million deaths every year. As population grow, more people move into cities and agriculture and industry compete for increasingly source water supplies, water shortage are expected to become even worse. By 2025, two thirds of the world’s people will be living in more than 10% of renewable freshwater resources. One of the highest priorities announced at the U.N. World summit in Johannesberg in 2002, is to reduce by one-half the proportion of people without reliable access of clean-water and improved sanitation.
